Chicago Agrawal Assocation ® (CAA) welcomes all the descendents of Maharaja Agrasen commonly referred to as Agrawals, in Greater Chicago Area to join us and build a stronger community to share our traditional values with the next generation. As you know our society is known for compassion, equability, conformity, and equanimity.
Agrawal is a Hindu Bania community. Our ancestor is Shri Maharaja Agrasen Ji who was a Kshatriya King and one of the descendants of Shri Ram and Shri Mahalaxmi. Majaraja Agrasen ji was the king of Agroha Kingdom. Agrawal belong to various gotras (depicted in picture on right) said to be seventeen and a half in number.
Exclusive purpose is the enhancement of the charitable, religious, educational and scientific opportunities among people with common Agrawal cultural heritage. The Samaj will foster learning opportunities for next generations and promote (not limited to) social cause through volunteer efforts.
CAA vision is to become an organization of choice for Agrawal families in the Greater Chicago Area with aim to develop and support Agrawal values, and provide platform for social, cultural and entrepreneurial interaction for adults and children.
